Renowned Tunisian singer Latifa is said to be putting the final touches on her upcoming album. Latifa has been undergoing the recording and production of her album in complete secrecy not allowing any information of its nature to be revealed. According to the Egyptian weekly Nujoom, Latifa refused to comment or even mention the names of most composers, producers and names of songs featured in the album.
Latifa noted that her secrecy is due to the fear that others may steal her ideas and lyrics. She is currently meeting with composers and producers in complete confidentiality to choose the best song that fits to be the highlight of her new album.
The album, which includes a variety of songs by poets and composers from all over the Arab World, will hold many surprises for all Latifa's fans, with a Khaliji song written by Prince Badr Bin Abdul Muhsin.
The song, entitled "La Ana Ansa" (I Won't Forget), will mark Latifa's debut with a Khaliji song. The song's composer, Mohammed Shafiq said "the work came upon Latifa's wish to have a joint project with Prince Badr, and for his part the Prince welcomed the idea and worked on 'La Ana Ansa' poem."
Latifa did not give a specific date for her album's release, produced by “Alam Al Fan”(World of Art), but added that the album will also hold a Libyan song, written by Abdullah Al Mansour and composed by Mohamad Hassan. – Albawaba.com
