Prominent Egyptian actress Laila Elwi denied circulating rumors that she has gotten married to Egyptian actor Mahmoud Qabil who costarred in her last Ramadan TV drama series "Ta’ala Nehlam Bi Bokra" (Lets Dream of Tomorrow), saying that plans to marry him are not confirmed yet. The actress asserted that if she gets married to Mahmoud or anyone else she will publicly announce the news because she refuses to marry in secret.

Mahmoud did not deny the news, simply announcing to his friends that he wishes to get married soon, and that he considers Laila to be a very special person.

Close friends to both actors, among them some who participated in their last joint drama assured the news, and added that the shooting was stopped more than once because both Laila and Mahmoud were sitting alone talking.

The drama portrays Laila as a businesswoman (Enji Al kashef) who invades the life of a bank director in an attempt from her and her husband to do illegal business through the bank's manager. She becomes involved in a relationship and everything was revealed to the public when they have a car accident. The banker’s life falls apart due to this scandal. At the same time Ass’ad (Mahmoud Qabil) enters Enji’s life and she falls in love with him and finally they get married.

Will the reality match the fiction? This question will surely be answered in the coming days.

Elwi expressed her content about the success her new Ramadan TV drama series (Ta’ala Nehlam Bi Bokra) (Lets Dream of Tomorrow), in which she plays the role of Enji El Kashef, alongside Egyptian actor Hussien Fahmi, has received with a very high viewing rate. Laila stressed that the role took lots of efforts to perfect due to the fact that the series goes through three different stages of Enji’s life making it essential to be aware of the smallest details regarding the part.

Laila revealed that the working conditions she was put in were very dangerous, because she insisted on doing all the stunt scenes on her own, adding that she nearly suffocated while swimming with a plastic neck protector while shooting one of the scenes. The actress also noted that she actually went through a real life car accident with her colleague Hussien Fahmi to make one of the scenes appear more realistic.

She adds that she was fascinated with the complication of the character and the different phases of life the character went through. Her role as Enji shows a businesswoman who has many complicated relations because of her work environment. She decides to look back at her life and decides to straighten things out bringing on many unexpected complications leading her to change her mind at the last minute with the least losses possible.

Elwi is scheduled to begin shooting the first scenes for her upcoming film “Al Ashbah Bi Dakhili” (The Ghosts Within Me) immediately after the Eid El Fitr holiday (Muslim holiday after Ramadan), under the direction of Khaled Al Hajar.

The film’s story revolves around two young adults who fall in love with one another, and once they decide to tie the knot and marry after so many years of being together, the man suddenly commits suicide. The shock of the man’s death causes the woman to go into a psychological breakdown and she begins to see his ghost everywhere she goes. -Albawaba.com
