Egyptian producer Sami Al Adel has announced his plans for a new film titled “Youm Wahid Fil Shaher” (One Day in a Month) on the condition that Egyptian actress Laila Elwi plays the leading role.
The story of the film revolves around the first day of every month, which is payday for most people, and the different attitudes and emotions felt by the recipients on that much anticipated day.
Laila recently survived a car accident during a visit to Morocco that has given her a new perspective on life. The actress nearly lost her life, and explained that a miracle had saved her and the other passengers.
During a recent interview Laila revealed that at the time of the accident she thought the car had ran over the cliff, and began saying her final prayers, but once she realized they had survived she felt as though she had been given another chance at life. Since the accident she has become more patient and has stopped loosing her temper so easily, after being faced with death, she explained.
Upon her return to Cairo, Laila realized the love people have for her, especially after receiving numerous flowers and phone calls from her fans.
After taking time off to regain her strength, the actress intends on returning to the scenes, and is currently reading the script for the new film “Ahlam Al Sabaya” (Young Dreams). Young Egyptian actresses, Riham Abdul Ghafour and Hala Shiha will costar along side her in the film.
