Laila Elwi and Poussy in a car accident in Morocco

Prominent Egyptian actresses Laila Elwi and Poussy encountered a car accident in Morocco when the car they were in, which is a Jaguar and had a diplomatic license plate, slipped off the road due to light rainfalls. The two actresses we accompanied by two people and the four passengers suffered minor bruises.

 

According to the London based daily, Alsharq Al Awsat, Poussy was injured near the top of her spine, while Laila had minor shoulder injuries. They were all immediately admitted to hospital and received the needed treatment. It was not revealed what the actresses destination was, but they had just participated in a film festival that took place Morocco.

 

On a different note, Laila recently announced that her television drama series “Bint Min Shubra” finally received the approval of the Egyptian Censorship Committee to be aired on local and satellite Egyptian channels. The news comes as a breakthrough for Laila who has been fighting the previous decision of banning the drama and gone to extremes refusing to give up.

 

The series had been aired on different Arab satellite channels and proved inoffensive to any religious sect, which was the argument of the Egyptian censorship. Laila stressed that viewers all around the Arab world expressed their approval of the drama.
