Kuwaiti singers Nabil Shu'ail, Nawal, Abdullah Ruwaished denied circulating rumors that they have fled Kuwait in fear of the war that is currently led by the US on Iraq. The singers had resented the Saudi paper "Al Youm" which reported the false accusations that they left their country and home to find safety abroad because they feared the possibilities of Iraqi strikes.

According to the London based Elaph, the singers remarked that it was a cheap attempt by a lousy paper that only wanted to diminish their image in front of their fans and wanted to make them a target for cheap talk.

Al Ruwaished said that he is still in Kuwait living peacefully and happily and thousands of people can witness that, so why would the paper have the nerves to write otherwise when they have no solid grounds to base their accusations on?. He added that the lies are intended by the paper to paint the wrong image of Kuwaitis at such a critical time during the war on Iraq.

The singers all stressed their devotion and dedication to their country and that they will stand by their people's side till the end. They added that if Kuwait asks them to fight to protect it they will with out a doubt put on army uniforms and march into battle.

Nawal added that she did not know with what conscious the writer of the article in "Al Ayam" wrote such lies. She said that she is now talking from her home in Kuwait proving she did not fled and would never think about it even if her life depended on it.

The singers concluded that they pitied anyone who attempts to ruin their image in front of their fans at such crucial times. Instead of revealing truths and facts, sick minded individuals have the nerve to only write lies and point fingers at others not caring about the damages they may cause. –Albawaba.com
