Syrian actress Kinda Alloush revealed that what led her to fully support demonstrators in Syria, who are calling for the resignation of President Bashar Al Asad and his government, is the cruelty and unjust treatment imposed by the government towards peaceful protesters.
Kinda said she is against the phenomena of inheritance of power from a President to his son, and that power has become a scary and corrupt issue in the Arab world.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Kinda stressed that every artist must take a stance in his/her life and whatever the point of view of a person regarding politics or other matters, they should not be punished for it. She added that she is against artists being put on blacklists for speaking their minds regarding politics for everyone should practice their freedom to speak their mind.
With regards to the suffering of demonstrators in Syria at the hands of the government, Kinda stressed that the violence and cruelty must be put to an end and that this kind of treatment is not the way to begin political reform.
