Iraqi heartthrob Kathem Al Saher will hold a concert on October 26 at Mohammed V Sports Compound in the Moroccan city of Casablanca.
An audience of 60,000 is expected to attend the concert, according to the Arabic daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.
The manger of Team Group International, the Lebanese Co. which organized the concert, told the daily, “I signed a contract with Saher to hold many concerts in a number of Arab countries starting with Morocco.”
The manager declined to mention the amount of pay requested by Saher.
Concert tickets, he said, would run a modest $120-300 apiece.
The company, which has never organized a concert in Morocco before, has intensified its publicity for the event through posters and advertisement in the local dailies.
Saher did not attend the concerts held in Morocco during this summer season because he could not get the astronomical sums he demanded, the Aghadir festival’s organizers alleged – Albawaba.com
