Lebanese singer Julia Botros will sing Ayyouha al Kibar (You Seniors) written by Henry Zghaib and composed by Ziyad Botros as part of the ceremonial party “Arab Press Award” to be organized by Dubai Press Club at the Airport Expositions.

In her song, Julia sends a message to the Arab most prominent leaders or decision takers and address through it the international community saying that injustice and oppression won’t last long. She will call on the Arab people to continue their resistance until freedom is achieved.

Julia turned down many offers from Bahrain, Jordan, Morocco, Abu Dhabi and Syria because, according to her, time these days is irrelevant for parties, according to the London based Arabic daily al Sharq al Awsat.

She added that she has been committed to this principle for a long time while other artists were making themselves busy with other things.

Julia therefore nixed these concerts at present because the results of such concerts will not be directly beneficial to the Palestinian people under occupation while the outside world is applauding for the strong revolutionary cadences.

Few artists who do not keep in pace with fashion, are known for this type of art including Julia who performed the songs Mnorfudh Ehna Nmout (We Refused to Die), Ya Thuwwar al Ardh (OH, Earth Revolutionists). Kuwwat Mahbbah (Love Strength), Hijar al Masannayn and others -- Albawaba.com
