Jordan's King Abdullah has recently presented Lebanese singer Walid Tawfiq with a medallion in recognition of the efforts he has made in the field of Arab singing, according to the Arabic daily Al Sharq Al Awsat.
The awards ceremony was held in Amman at the conclusion of the Jordanian Song Festival, in which Tawfiq participated along with Syrian singer Assala Nassri.
Tawfiq then flew to Tunisia to participate in an arts festival there along with local singer Saber Al Ribaa’i, Hussein Al Jazaeri, Amal Hjazi and the Four Cats band from Lebanon – Albawaba.com
