The final schedule for the Jordanian summer festival Jarash has finally been released during a special press conference held at the Jordanian capital Amman by the administration of the festival. The conference which took place at the Hussein Cultural Center revolved around the details concerning the festival as to who will participate and when.
The festival will be launched on July 21 and will last up until August 7, where over 50 different groups will participate from around the world. It was planned that Lebanese star Fadel Shaker would hold two concerts during the festival, but a misunderstanding between the management of the festival and Fadel led to the cancellation of the concerts and no further information leaked to clarify what really happened between the two parties.
Meanwhile prominent Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram will be participating for the second year in a row alongside the Egyptian singer Hani Shaker during the closing ceremony.
Arab superstar Diana Karazon under the patronage of the royal family will hold the opening concert of the festival. The following events which are expected to find great success are concerts by other participants like Iraqi star Kathem al-Saher, Alissa, and Melhim Barakat.
It was revealed that the satellite music channel Rotana will not have the broadcasting privileges for this year and copyrights are given solely to Jordan TV. –Albawaba.com
