ALBAWABA - A massive Istanbul drug operation has shaken Turkey’s entertainment world, with top celebrities questioned over narcotics allegations.

A major operation targeting well-known individuals began in Istanbul on October 8, 2025. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office brought the case. The main issue was accusations of "use of narcotic or stimulant substances."

Dozens of famous people were asked to show up. People asked them to give accounts and blood tests.

Some of the famous people who were asked to show up include Hadise Açıkgöz, İrem Derici, Demet Evgar, Berrak Tüzünataç, Dilan Polat, Engin Polat, Kaan Yıldırım, Kubilay Aka, Metin Akdülger, Birce Akalay, Özge Özpirinçci, and Zeynep Meriç. The people who wrote this are Aral Keskin, Ziynet Sali, Ceren Moray, Deren Talu, Derin Talu, Feyza Altun, and Duygu Özaslan Mutaf.

The prosecutor's office made it clear that this round is not about charges or detentions at this time. The goal is to get proof, statements, and examples.

The Provincial Gendarmerie Command in Istanbul received a large number of names for questioning. The police conducted blood draws.

What people have said has been profound. Fans and the news media started guessing right away what the probe meant. Some of Turkey's biggest stars are involved, and the news has caused a lot of talk on social media.

Several celebrities in custody have responded. Reports say that İrem Derici was arrested at her home in Şişli and then taken to give a statement. As of now, her guardian said she didn't know all the charges against her.

However, it remains unclear which of the questioned individuals will face official charges. Statements and test findings will be looked over by the prosecutors.

This case coincides with Turkey's ongoing crackdown on drug use, public morality, and negative behavior on social media.

Be cautious: a detention does not imply guilt. The legal method has to obey the rules.

People will pay close attention in the coming days. The next steps—arrests, charges, or releases—will decide how big and important this high-profile case is.
