The 38th International Cartage Festival will be held during the period between July 12 – August 31, with the participation of Arab and world song stars.
“The festival will be opened under the banner “The Country Smell: Roses and Jasmines”, in honor of the late Tunisian artist Mohammed al Jamusi,” an official source at the Tunisian ministry of culture told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The source added that the prominent Tunisian singer Lutfi Bushnaq will perform a concert entitled Bila Hudoud (without borders) along with other Arab singers, at the festival closing ceremony.
A number of Arab singers will participate in the event including, the renowned Syrian singer Sabah Fakhri, Marcel Khalifa from Lebanon, Saudi singer Mohammed Abdo, Husam Khairi, Mohammed Munir from Egypt and the Algerian rai singer Cheb Mami.
The festival will also include theatrical performances, such as the Tunisian pop play Fi Hak al Saduk Nrisho written and starring al Amin al Nahdi, as well as the screening of several new films – Albawaba.com
