Prominent Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmi revealed the real routs of disputes with some of his colleagues and the events that led to them. Recently, Fahmi had said that Egyptian comedian-actor Adel Imam is a local ambassador for the UN, and then took it back stressing that the matter was a misunderstanding.

According to the London based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat, six years ago, Hussein had received a letter form the secretary general of the United Nations, Kofi Anan, telling him that he was chosen to be the UN’s only regional ambassador. So when Adel was chosen he assumed that he was merely a local representative, but as soon as he found out the truth he immediately called Adel and cleared the matter.

With regards to his dispute with Egyptian actress Nabila Obeid, Hussein revealed that he had not called the actress to clear the dispute between them because she did not respect his history as a prominent actor and said that she is Egypt's best actress and put his name in an inappropriate way in the ads of the movie “Asaees wara”. Hussein said that he decided never to work with Nabila ever again nor will he consider her as a friend.

Hussein denied having disputes with renowned actress Faten Hamama and that the matter was basically Faten’s refusal to have him act as her husband in the drama “Awrak al Ward” on the basis that it will not work. Samiha Ayoub was mad at Hussein because he was chosen to be the president of Cairo Movie Festival after the death of her husband Saad Wahbeh. Hussein believes that she was expecting to be chosen as the president after her husband and that’s why she stopped talking to him.

Fahmi has announced that he is currently looking for a Lebanese actress to take part in his upcoming new film on the condition that she had not previously appeared in any Egyptian film. The actor has stressed that any Lebanese actress who wishes to take part in his film must abide by the condition stated, which means an exclusion of the participation of such actress like Nicole Saba and Nour.

Hussein has revealed that he wants to introduce new faces to the Egyptian cinema and not the ones people are accustomed to seeing. The actor did not reveal any details regarding the film wanting to keep a low profile until the entire cast is chosen. -Albawaba.com
