Hind Sabri officially a lawyer

Tunisian actor Hind Sabri was sworn in by the Tunisian Appeals Court as a lawyer.

Hind had been fighting for over a year with the Tunisian Lawyers Association to become a lawyer.  The Association claimed that Hind’s acting career reflected negatively upon the legal profession in Tunisia.

Hind fought the Association’s decision and filed an appeal.  Her lawyer argued that Hind never considered acting as her sole profession. He also stated that Hind resides in Tunisia and not Egypt.

According to the London based Elaph, the lawyer cited other lawyers who have additional professions in the media who did not face discrimination.

Hind said that she does not know whether she will continue acting, or resign to focus on her career as a lawyer.

On a different note, after months of rumors Hind is officially engaged to scenarist Mohammad Hafithi.

Hind said that she is very much in love with Mohammad, and that he is the partner she has been searching for all of her life. The couple has been involved for some time, but postponed the public announcement of their relationship.  Hind denied that the delay of their engagement was due to reservations on the part of Mohammad's family.

A private engagement party was held in the presence of very close friends and family members.

Traditional Arab male meets free spirited, open-minded Arab female - would he get seriously involved with her? The film “Li’bit Hub” (Love Game), which was Hind’s recent release, explores this very question.

The film stars Hind, along with Egyptian actors Khaled Abu Al Naja, Basma and Bushra. The script was written by Ahmad Al Naser and Sami Hussam, and marks director Mohammad Ali’s first film.
