She may have many haters because of her OTT personality, but UAE singer Ahlam is much liked by the Alexandria International Song Festival!
The head of the AISF Ouf Hammam announced that "Queen" Ahlam will be honored at the upcoming festival.
Although the singer was due to receive her award at the festival's opening ceremony, that's been changed to the closing ceremony instead, due to the singer's other travel commitments.
According to Elaph news, Hammam happily announced that the jet-setter has confirmed her attendance; the Queen will be receiving her award in person!
He added that the festival will last for five days and will also honor Kuwaiti singer Nawal, Tunisian singer Lutfi Bushnaq, Saudi singer Abadi Al Jawhar and singers Mohammad Hilo and Iman Bahr Darwish.
Procceeds from the festival will go to the "Tahia Masr Fund" (Long Live Egypt Fund) to help support Egypt's economy. The closing ceremony will feature a performance by Moroccan singer Jannat and Egyptian singer Khaled Selim.
As for the prestigious judging committee, it includes Ameen Khayat from Syria, Mohammad Al Ruwaished from Kuwait, Adnan Khawj from Saudi Arabia, Ihsan Munther from Lebanon, Hani Muhanna, Enas Jawhar and Emad Hassan from Egypt.
