Behind every great man there's a great woman, but in this case, it's another great man!
Every star was discovered by one person or another, and Arab Idol champion Mohammad Assaf is no exception... or so we hear. Apparently, the man behind Assaf's success is none other than Palestinian diplomat and artist Jamal Al Najjar, who discovered his hidden talent at the tender age of 10.
Although the diplomat expressed joy at the Arab Idol winner's accomplishment, he was disappointed not to receive a mention or even a thank you from Assaf throughout the whole competition, reported Moheet.com.
"We heard him thank everyone in the finale from the Palestinian President to the Palestinian people and everyone who was with him on the show. But I wasn't amongst the people mentioned... I was waiting for some sort of recognition or mention,” Najjar said.
Like any well-known “Oscars thank you speeches,” the young singer had the chance to give many of those throughout the competition. What's even stranger is that he performed the ultra-popular song composed and written by Najjar “Alli Al Kufiyyeh” on the show.
Najjar never described Assaf as disloyal or ungrateful, but he said that: "I reproach him as well as everyone in his generation to teach them a lesson that you can't bargain on loyalty nor can you compromise on loyalty".
Count your blessings Mohammed, fame doesn't last forever, friendships do.
What do you think? Is Assaf's head too big already? Or should Najjar stop whingeing? Let us know what you think!
