Egyptian actress Hanan Turk will enter the recording studios in the upcoming few days to record her first song, which is for the television cartoon “Bikar”. The song Hanan will record is dedicated especially to handicapped children and will be aired during the last two episodes of the cartoon, which is broadcasted on a daily basis.
According to the London based Elaph, Hanan had strongly refused to be financially compensated for her participation and stressed that she is doing it for the sake of all children. The cartoon has become one of the most watched in Egypt since it was launched seven years ago.
On a similar note, prominent Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher had chosen Hanan for the leading role in his upcoming music video “Ahibini” (Love Me), which is written by the late renown Lebanese poet Nizar Qabani. The song is from his latest album “Ila Tilmethuh” (To His Student), which is scheduled to be released during the Muslim Eid Al Fitr holiday.
Hanan expressed her honor at being chosen by such a renown singer stressing that Kathem’s songs are so rich with meaning that the words of his songs come straight from the heart. The clip will be filmed as a short movie that holds a patriotic and romantic theme to it revolving around two lovers who attempt to meet one another but certain circumstances makes their meeting close to impossible. The song will be filmed between Cairo and Dubai under the direction of Jordanian director Hussein Du’aibis. –Albawaba.com
