Kuwaiti television broadcaster Halima Poland, who is also known as the beauty queen of Arab female journalists, appeared as a guest on the show “Sa’ah Mana” (An hour with us), aired on the satellite channel ‘Infinty.’
Host Hakam Al Zoghbi talked with Halima about being the first Khaliji ‘gulf countries’ television broadcaster to be awarded the title of Beauty Queen of Arab Female Journalist. Al Zoghbi said Halima has a moon face and is the queen of beauty and femininity.
According to the London daily Elaph, Halima was previously a guest on the show “Awrak Khalijia” (Gulf Countries Papers) with Dr. Muhammad Al Ajami. On the show she talked about Kuwaiti women and their role in Kuwaiti politics.
She revealed that she had wanted to be a member of the Kuwaiti House of Representatives and was welcomed by many to be part of Kuwaiti politics, yet her young age wouldn’t allow her because she has to be at least 30 years old to get nominated.
Halima supported the minimum quota of female representatives in the Kuwaiti parliament.
“It gave Kuwaiti women a place in the parliament and a voice in the decision making process for their country and people,” said Halima.
Halima wowed the audience with her knowledge in politics and added that she sees women in Kuwait making a difference.
