Cinema houses around Egypt have begun screening the latest film “Ghawi Hubb” starring Egyptian singer Mohammad Foad and actress Hala Shiha. The film revolves around a renewed love story between people who had gone their separate ways.
Foad admitted that he has placed high stakes on the film and hopes it will be a success and make him recognized as a good actor.
Foad has agreed to pay a fine of 10 thousand Egyptian pounds to director Mohammad Kamal Al Shinawi for firing him at the last minute from the crew of “Ghawi Hubb.”
Kamal filed a complaint to the Cinema Association against Foad demanding compensation, stressing that he had turned down several offers for the sake of directing Foad’s film. Kamal explained that he had worked endlessly with Foad on the film, and although they argued over certain details, he was shocked by Foad’s sudden decision to replace him with another director.
Foad did not hesitate to pay the fine set by the Association, rapidly ending the dispute.
Mohammad has denied that a dispute erupted between him and his production company Rotana, confirming that he is pleased with their performance.
The singer explained that he is grateful to the company for taking care of him by launching a massive advertising campaign for his latest album “Habibee Ya”, which resulted in record high sales.
Foad revealed that he only used one song from his album in his film “Ghawi Hubb,” and the rest of the songs will be released as singles on different music channels. Foad added that he does not depend on his music videos for the success of his albums, but rather on the quality of his songs.
