Lebanese sexpot, Haifa Wehbe, has taken to Twitter to hit out at the haters of her latest music video.

Feisty starlet, Haifa Wehbe, has hit back at claims that she was trying to channel international sex symbol, Britney Spears, in the video for her popular tune ‘Malikat Jamal Al Kawm’ (Miss Universe).

The Lebanese hottie has faced a barrage of criticism for the saucy video she shot in the U.S. which sees her wearing a sexy dress that looks like a replica of the one worn by controversial Britney in the video for her hit song, ‘Scream and Shout’.

And as if that wasn’t enough, critics have also hit out at Haifa for focusing more on her glam image and sexy moves than on the music, by choosing not to sing in the video.

Haifa is also coming under fire for misspelling her own name in the controversial shoot.

Never one to take criticism lying down, according to Middle East news portal Elaph, Haifa has taken to Twitter to hit out at the haters, saying: “You know that I laugh at some of the comments made by jealous and ignorant individuals, and thanks very much for making me laugh”.

The singer was also keen to point out that she chose the ‘Britney dress’ because it showed off her fab figure, not because she wanted to look like Britney and let the critics know that she often writes her name with an extra ‘i’.

Haifa let her fans know that she’s not letting the bad comments get her down, and with over 100,000 YouTube hits in just two days, it looks like the video’s success is speaking for itself.
