Lebanese singer Nidal Sultan is waiting for the final decision to be made by Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi over a new duet he wishes to sing with her. Nidal has chosen Haifa especially to sing with him the song “Al Gharam” (Love), written by Al Hamid Al Habbak and composed by Ehab Abdul Wahid.
According to the London based Elaph, Haifa had given her initial acceptance to sing a duet with Nidal, but stressed she wished to listen carefully to the words of the song and its composition during her upcoming visit to Cairo.
It has been revealed that Haifa is Nidal’s second choice, where as Lebanese singer Mariam Faris was first chosen to sing the duet but due to her preoccupation with other matters she turned down the proposition.
Wahbi had recently traveled to the United States of America, where held four concerts in different states. This trip marks the first time in her career that Haifa holds performances in the US and the tour took her to Boston, Las Vegas, and San Francisco.
Upon her return, Haifa resumed preparations for the release of her second album, which she has already filmed one song from in the form of a video clip. Wahbi had repeatedly announced in different interviews that she does not consider herself to be a singer but rather a performer who sings what suits her voice. Haifa’s comments made people wonder why she would say such statements especially after achieving a large popularity in such a short time into her singing career. –Albawaba.com
