Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi is currently on a visit to the United States of America to be part of the casting for the new film "Ali Baba" by Lebanese born film producer Elie Samaha, who is the Chairman/CEO of Franchise Pictures, which has fast become one of the most prolific production and co-financing companies in the entertainment industry.. While in the US the singer received the news of the death of Lebanese singer Alissa and decided to show support towards the Alissa, despite the fact that the two are not on speaking terms.

According to the London based Elaph, Haifa sent her condolences to Alissa through an SMS (a message on her mobile) not finding it significant to actually pick up the phone and make an international phone call to Lebanon to show her support. It was revealed that Alissa sent her thanks to Haifa in the same matter and made no further comments. To many, Haifa's action is considered to be a form of disrespect, especially since this is an occasion where all differences should be placed aside.

Haifa is scheduled to stay for three weeks where she will meet Samaha after she was nominated to be in Elie's film "Ali Baba" alongside international actor Antonio Bandares and Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury. Haifa Wahbi has just completed recording her latest single a remix of the song “Shik Shak Sho”, which is originally a classic written by Hussein Abu Al So’ood. Haifa plans on including the song in her upcoming music video, which she hopes to release in the very near future.

Hussein had originally wrote and composed the song for Egyptian dancer Suhair Zaki before her resignation. The song has been given a new composition to match Haifa’s style and so the singer decided to use it to add to her music career. –Albawaba.com
