Egyptian actress Gala Fahmi is gearing up to shoot a new feature, Taataa Wa Rika Wa Kazem Beik in Israel, the sequel to a film she starred in with Kamal Al Shinnawi ten years ago.

In the latest film, the same pair travels to Israel to swindle people in a series of comic and dramatic scenarios.

Fahmi told the London-based Al Sharq Al Awsat daily that she had been thinking of the sequel for more than a decade, particularly after the first film’s huge success.

The film, according to Gala, is based on an American work, and fulfills her liking for roles in comedies.

“What I liked most about the story is that it has no connection with espionage or the Israeli intelligence branch, Mossad, but is related to certain situations in Israel,” Gala added.
