Algerian singer Fula recently completed the shooting of her latest music video for the song “Keef Ajazeek” (How do I Make You Pay?) under the direction of Jordanian director Hussein Du’aibis. In the song, the singer reveals some of her most shocking secrets, and shows the world the pain she went through in her life’s journey.
According to the London based Elaph, the singer had decided that through a music video she is able to send out her message of the how difficult she had it since the beginning of her career. The clip walks the viewers through different instances of the singers life revealing different secrets that have been kept locked up for some time.
Recently, Fula publicly revealed that she was held in an Egyptian prison for a period of 18 months, an instance that shocked the entertainment world and viewers all around the Arab world. Fula had denied circulating rumors that she intends on resigning from her musical career and wearing the Hijab (Islamic headdress) in a year. Fula said that she had only commented that the entertainment world is full of corruption and that if the situation remains as is she may consider quitting.
The singer stressed that she is still at the beginning of her singing career and is not at all thinking of ending it so soon. She added that the success she has achieved lately persuades her to continue and find ways of improving her career not ending it.
Rumors had it that Fula had decided that she will resign from her career as a singer and wear the Hijab in about one year or a little while longer, to live a normal life of a good Muslim woman. It was added that Fula’s decision is not based on the insinuation that singing is a taboo and against the teachings of Islam, but rather the fact that the entertainment world has so much corruption. –Albawaba.com
