The French troupe Orange Blossom will participate in the opening ceremony of the third session of the International Video Clip Oscar Festival to be held in the Egyptian resort city of Sharm al Sheikh, according to the daily al Gomhuria.
In its first visit to Egypt, the French troupe will perform a musical show that reflects the developments of the video clip.
The South Troupe for Egyptian popular arts will also participate in the opening ceremony of the festival with a show based on the Egyptian folklore.
The head of the festival, Abdel Menem Saad announced that the opening ceremony will start with screening the videos of the wining songs at the two latest sessions which were held in al Ghardaka and Alexandria. The winners were, Kuwaiti singer Abdullah Ruweished, Ehab Tawfiq, Angham from Egypt and Tunisian singer Latifa.
The event organized by the Egyptian Society for Cinema Art and sponsored by the Egyptian minister of tourism, Mamdouh al Beltagi, will be held between July 26-30.
Thirty two Arab and foreign nations are anticipated to participate in the festival, which will feature four concerts on its sidelines to be performed by prominent Arab and international singing, music and movie stars.
“Six renowned Egyptian and Arab musicians and singers have been tapped for honoring at the festival this year including Wardeh, Mayyadah al Hinnawi, Hilmi Baker, Hamid al Shae’ri, Ragheb A’lameh and Lutfi Bushnaq,” the festival head, Abdel Mine’m Saad told the London-based Arabic daily al Sharq al Awsat.
It is known that Vidov organization is the agency which select the Arabic and foreign contest Jury which hand out its prizes for winners in singing, direction, filming, editing, scripting, composition and musical remake – Albawaba.com
