UAE singer Ahlam has revealed that her future plans regarding her career include a notable performance at the Lido Theater in France and a tour around the Middle East. Ahlam has stressed that her concert in France marks a significant step up in her career and is the second time in which she holds a performance there.

The singer also revealed that there are current plans to hold a duet with another Arab female singer, a first of its kind, reported the Saudi based daily, Al Watan. Ahlam added that the duet will be a debate between two women who are both in love, but each has a strong personality and fights for her lover, while the other is weak and cannot manage the agony of relationships.

Ahlam held a press conference organized by Alam El Phan Record Production Company, which the singer joined recently, at the Fairmont Hotel in Dubai. The singer and Muhsin Jabir, owner of the company, talked about her a number of her upcoming projects and plans like the filming of two video clips for the songs “Allah Yeen Quloobhim” (God Help Their Hearts) and “Leah Mitdaig” (Why Are You Upset).

Ahlam announced that she is in the process of preparing for two songs, one dealing with peace and the other about children. The singer also talked about the nature of her relationship with Saudi singer Mohammad Abdo and Kuwaiti singer Nawal, in addition to the reasons behind her leaving Rotana Music Production Company to join Alam El Phan.

With regards to the commotion she caused in Egypt a month ago, Ahlam stressed that the reason behind her refusal to undergo a routine checkup for SARS that is done on all tourists and locals coming into Egypt, upon her arrival at Cairo airport, is due to the lack of sterilizing of equipments used and ill preparation of a suitable checkup space.

On June 15, 2003 marked the happiest day for Ahlam, as she tied the knot to her first and only love Mubarak Al Hajiri. The big event took place at the Grand Hyatt in Dubai with the presence of a large number of Arab singers and important figures.

Ahlam had refused to give out her wedding pictures to the media saying she wants to keep them to herself. She added that memories for an occasion like this should be kept to herself and her husband and do not need to be published on all tabloids. –Albawaba.com
