Fifi Abdo fights corruption

The Dubai satellite television channel, Dubai TV is preparing for the Ramadan marathon of television dramas and has already bought the rights to screen a number of series.

 

One of the Ramadan dramas is “Ta’er Al Hub” (Love Bird) starring Egyptian belly dancer/actress Fifi Abdo. According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Fifi revealed that in the drama she plays a character different from those she has played in the past, and hopes it will meet the satisfaction of her audience.

 

In the drama Fifi plays the role of  ‘Ashgan,’ a sophisticated journalist and owner of a magazine, she had inherited from her late husband. Her husband’s dying wish was to keep the magazine an independent news source, and free of lies and gossip.

 

The drama is directed by Mostapha Al Shamal, and costars prominent Egyptian actor Kamal Abu Raya, Ahmad Rateb and Ahmad Khalil.

 

Historically, Fifi has played the roles of village women or dancers in most of her television dramas, which has earned her popularity.
