This summer has so far witnessed heavy activity in terms of music concerts held by singers from all around the Arab world. Lebanese singer Diana Haddad is one of the singers who had a very hectic schedule despite the fact that she has not yet released her upcoming album, wanting to postpone it until a later time. Diana has held concerts in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and in other Arab countries all proving to be successful.
According to the London based Elaph, aside from working on her album these days, Diana has received numerous invitations from organizers of international sporting events throughout the world to be a part of either the launching of events or taking part in a grand finale. The first invitation Diana received was from the African-Asian Nations Cup in India to hold a live performance during the grand finale ceremony alongside Egyptian actor Hisham Abbas. Diana was chosen to participate due to the popularity of her songs in India and throughout the world.
FIFA had also sent an invitation to Diana to take part in an operetta alongside a group of selected singers during the launching of the event in Dubai-UAE. The singer also received an invitation from the International Aviation Companies to take part in their yearly celebration taking place this October. The singer is still receiving offers to take part in a number of other international events and has given her initial acceptance to attend.
On a different note, the entertainment will very soon witness a break-up between Diana and her husband, UAE director Suhail Al Abdoul. The couple aside from being married have been working together for a number of years, with Suhail always directing his wife’s video clip, but Diana has decided that the time has come for them to be apart and is now looking into working with a new director. Diana has revealed that she is looking for a new director in order to present herself in a different style from the one her husband had created, in addition to wanting to put an end to the rumors that state her husband controls her every career move. The singer has postponed her release until the end of this year and is hopeful by that time she will have found a new director with new ideas for her upcoming music video.
The singer also postponed her upcoming release “Hubbi Lak” (My Love is For You) until her health condition is more stable and she is back on her feet. The singer added that she postponed her new album because it still needs more alterations to be made. Diana’s husband, has presented his wife with a new music channel as his way of showing her his love. The new channel “El Phan” will be registered in both Suhail and Diana’s names and Suhail revealed that the studios for the new channel will be based in Dubai, Cairo, and Beirut and is scheduled to be launched in October on NileSat.
Haddad is currently placing the final details on her upcoming album "Ma Dakahlit Bi Rasi" (You are not in my Head). The singer has revealed that her new album holds many new surprises, in which she has prepared two surprises for her audience. The first surprise Diana has in store for her audience is a song in the Moroccan dialect and a second a Bedouin style song sung in Italian. –Albawaba.com
