Dr. Foad Thabet, liver disease expert, has revealed that Egyptian actor Farouq Al Fishawi’s health condition is stable and is improving gradually. The doctor added that the actor will undergo several tests before leaving the hospital and will then resume his resting period in his own home.
According to Al Waad magazine, doctors supervising the actor’s condition stressed that what he is going through is very normal and there is no need to transfer him abroad to get medical treatment. They added that he is not suffering from any critical disease and only faced some pain in his abdominal which is easily cured.
Farouq was taken to hospital in Cairo after his health condition deteriorated and he fell into a coma. His son, Ahmad Al Fishawi, who was accompanying him at the time, took Farouq to hospital.
Tests were immediately done on Farouq and results show that the actor is suffering from liver problems. After the actor woke from his coma, doctors insisted to keep him under direct supervision. Ahmad suggested that his father be taken to France to have more tests done, stressing that the medical services there are more advanced than those in Egypt.
Farouq had previously felt dizziness and fainted a few times but was told that it was a result of fatigue and overworking. According to the London based daily, Al Quds Al Arabi, Farouq stressed that he been admitted to hospital several times and that he does not fear being there now because he believes that God is watching over him like the times before.
Egyptian actor Mahmoud Al Jundi is currently accompanying Farouq in hospital along with his ex-wife Summaya Al Ulfi. Actor Nour El, Mahmoud Yassin, Elham Shahin, Laila Elwi and a number of other figures from the entertainment world are by Farouq’s side praying that he returns to his normal health in no time. - Albawaba.com
