Elissa not banned in Egypt

Muneer Al Waseemi, head of the Egyptian Musician Union, has denied rumors that he has banned Lebanese singer Elissa from entering Egypt and performing in it. Muneer stressed that the news is merely a rumor and that he has never received any complaints against the singer to take such actions.

Muneer added that such a decision cannot be taken unless he receives an official complaint against someone and an investigation is done, especially since he insists on carrying out his responsibilities according to regulations.

The rumor was created after music distributors Ahmad Ibraheem and Kareem Abd Al Wahab had accused Elissa of stealing two of their songs. The two men had made a call to the head of the Association demanding that legal actions be taken against her.

The managing office of the singer denied such allegations against Elissa stressing that there is no truth to the matter.

On a different note, Elissa has decided to film the song “Ayami Beek” (My days with you) in the form of a music video, but until this moment she has not yet chosen a director. The song is written by Nader Abdallah and composed by Tamer Ali.
