On a different note, Shahin has revealed that she enjoys acting alongside children, even though not many of her dramas include them. The actress stressed that she loves children but never dreamt of being a mother because she does not feel she is up to the responsibility of raising them.

The actress added that her main concentration in life is her acting career and she does not have the time to become a mother nor ever wanted to be. Elham has notified officials at the Egyptian Broadcasting Company that she will not abide by their new salary scale and will not accept less than 3 million Egyptian pounds for acting in a television drama. Elham stressed that she deserves such a high wage because of her great achievements in the acting world.

Elham also revealed that she has turned down her nomination to act in the upcoming film "Amarit Ya’qoubain" starring prominent Egyptian actor Adel Imam along with a number of prominent actors and actresses. Elham stressed that the role she was offered does not suit her at all and that she is not convinced with it.
