A court in northern Cairo has confiscated the home of prominent Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq for the sake of Abu Al Houl Arts Company in Australia, who had sponsored his tour in Australia. The court’s ruling is based on a fine of 10 thousand US dollars and 10 thousand Australian dollars for a phone bill to the hotel the singer was staying at during his tour in Australia.
It was revealed that the contract Ehab had signed with the company specifically states that his phone bill is an expense that must be paid from his own money and is not the responsibility of the company. The company also claimed that Ehab had broken the terms of the contract when he held a separate concert for a different sponsor.
On a different note, Tawfiq revealed that he is thinking of repeating the experience of singing a duet and has already began preparations for it. The singer expressed that he is hoping of reaching an agreement with Moroccan singer Samira Said to sing the duet with him.
The singer noted that if Samira agrees, he is positive that the duet will be as successful as the one he sang with the late Tunisian singer Thikra. Ehab added that he already began looking for a good topic that will fit as a duet hoping that he will find something that is different.
