Egyptian Opera House to Honor Warda

Cairo Opera House has anounced that it will honor diva singer Warda, as part of a regular program to pay tribute to leading Arab and Egyptian stars, according to ArabStars.net.  

The House’s director Samir Faraj said that ceremony will be of two parts: In the first part a group of young artists will sing a selection of the best songs of the honoree and in the second part the star himself will perform and sing his own work accompanied by the Arabic Music Band. The ceremony party will be recorded and then documented in the archive of the Egyptian Opera House, he said.  

In Warda’s ceremony, some of her best works such as "Leabet al-Ayyam,’ "Hekayti Maa al-Zaman,” "Loula al-Malama" will be performed by the young singers, while in the second part she will perform an assortment of her latest songs such as "Harramt Ahebak", "Batwaness beik" "Maleit Men al-Ghorba", Mawasem, etc.  

The ceremony will be attended by a large audience of famous Arab stars and celebrities, said the official – Albawaba.com
