Gaber Maamoun Nassar has captured the TV audience this Ramadan with the Egyptian series Justice Has Many Faces, which is on the screens of 25 Arab satellite channels.
The director told the daily Al Ahram that the series, Lil Adala Wugouh Kasira, covers many events involving the police, despite the fact that the series first and foremost tackles a key social issue: "Which is more important to a man: his work, or to belonging to a big family?”
“But the mystery surrounding some characters such as Gaber Nassar (Fakhrani) and Mahrous (Hussein Al Imam) spark many exciting actions through the relationship between them and the affection of Gaber for his daughter Nada. Both relationships have important impacts on the events,” Fadhel added.
Ahmed Zaher and Hasan Abdel Hamid play two new roles in addition to the new face Dunia, daughter of Samir Ghanem and Dalal Abdel Aziz.
“Fakhrani is a prominent artist with great capabilities that enable him to perform any role. Before 1975 we worked together in the series Ayyam Al Marah (Fun Days), Baba Abdo (Father Abdo) and Siam Siam (Fasting, Fasting) and the movie Hobb Fil Zinzanah (Love in Jail),” added the director.
Regarding his forthcoming works, the director said, “I am now gearing up for three productions. The first is the series Al Nas Fi Kofr Askar, scripted by Ahmed Al Sheikh, which will be produced by the Cairo Voice, and the second is the film Al Yawm Al A’sher (10th Day) to be produced by the Media Production City. The third is the series La Ahad Yanam Fi Al Iskandaria (Nobody Sleeps in Alexandria), based on the story by Ibrahim Abdel Hamid and scripted by Yusr Al Siwi – Albawaba.com
