Doctors at the Al Salam International hospital in Al Muhandiseen-Cairo prohibited any visitors and demanded that prominent Egyptian actress Sanaa Jamil be at once taken to the ICU, after her left lung stopped functioning properly. A team of well-known doctors is monitoring Sanaa’s condition by the hour and waiting for the test results to decide on the treatment needed for her failing respiratory system as reported by the UAE daily, Al Bayan.
Sanaa had experienced harsh health conditions in the past several days while shooting her scenes for the Ramadan series “Abiad x Abiad” (White n White), and dismissed it as fatigue resulting from long working hours. Upon seeing her condition worsening, her husband-journalist Luis Grace insisted on admitting her into the hospital after consulting with her present doctor Yahia Said.
Once Sanaa entered the hospital a number of tests were made revealing the extremely complex health condition. A large number of prominent actors Samira Ahmad, Jamil Ratib, Lubna Abdul Aziz, Salwa Khatab, and director Ahmad Saqr, visited Sanaa at the hospital. The actress received a phone call as well from the prominent Kuwaiti actress Amal Abudallah wishing her quick recovery.
Last year, Sanaa denied reports that she gave an interview to an Israeli journalist who approached her, saying she was on the “verge of belting the hapless hack”. “A young woman broke into my room asking me to give her an interview. When I learned from her that she was working for the Israeli newspaper Ma’ariv, I dismissed her and shouted at her. The neighbors rushed to prevent me from hitting the journalist who fled the studio. I kept cursing Sharon and the Israelis, as well as the American media,” Jamil told the daily.
The actress added that she wouldn’t talk to anyone with Israeli nationality, even after Jerusalem, occupied by Israeli troops 34 years ago, was restored to its Arab residents. “I participated in a TV advertisement after I had secured guarantees about the seriousness of the advertising company. But I have nixed many advertising offers and tempting money because the producer was American. My stance is like that because the US advocates Israel, and so I'll never participate in any ad connected to it throughout my life,” added Jamil. – Albawaba.com
