Preparations have started for the drama summer season in Egypt, in which most of the works will fall under the comedy genre because they attract most of the audience. Director Galal Sahrkawi is presenting a new play [7aramiah Barati]. On Qasr Al-Neel theatre, prominent actor Mohammed Subhi is staring this season by presenting two plays [Malek Siyam] and [Gazal al-banat].
Subhi had two other works which he decided to postpone for other seasons to come, the works are [Sahyen ya watan] and [Khebitna]. Director Sayed Radi is presenting his new play [Hob 3la al-zero] and famous belly dancer Dina will be starring in the play. Actor Khaled al-Nabawi apologized to do the male leading role because of stopping of the rehearsals more than once.
In Alexandria prominent comedian Sa'eed Saleh is presenting a musical play, but details are still enclosed. Egyptian television is participating in this season with new and old plays. Al-Salam theatre will go on showing the play [Ma Tistafhimsh] while other government theatre will have a new play called [7afla Fi al-azbakiah]
Another play to be shown this season called [al-Muwaten Muhri] scenario by Waleed Yusef and directed by Khaled Galal. The play is starred by Sumayah Khashab and Salah Abdullah. Adel Imam is continuing his play [Body Guard] for the fifth year in a row, while Ahmadd Adam will also be presenting his play [Rabena yikhali Gom3a]. –Albawaba.com
