Egyptian dancer Dina announced that she is adamant on sticking to the original script of her new movie “Hurma Fil Wazara” (A Woman in the Ministry) without making any alterations. The film revolves around the life of a woman politician who works in one of the ministries and is suddenly faced with a serious illness. Her illness in turn leads her to appoint her sister, who is a dancer, to host a foreign delegation visiting Egypt.

According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Dina has refused to accept any changes made by the Egyptian Censorship committee and said she will defy them and produce her movie with its original script. The Censorship had made alterations regarding the nature of the film, which according to them contains scenes that are provocative and inappropriate.

Last week, rumors circulated that Dina had left Cairo-Egypt and ran-off to hide away in Paris-France after her involvement in pornographic movies was revealed. She had announced that she would not be holding any performances during the New Year’s Eve and cancelled all prior agreements made. Dina’s excuse for cancellation to most of the hotels and private parties she had contracted with was that her sister was in a sudden accident. But in fact her decision came after a number of videotapes were found in a businessman’s apartment containing obscene and provocative scenes of her.

the Egyptian Actor’s Association Committee announced that Dina left the country after her name came up in the scandal with the businessman. The committee also announced that they do not intend to defend the dancer for she is not a member of the association.

It was added that Dina was not the only woman involved in the hearsay and another actress whose name was not revealed has apparently taken part in the scandal. Numerous efforts were made to contact the dancer to question her regarding her involvement in the pornographic tapes, but to no use as she refused to make any statements and left her mobile with her business manager.

The dancer had recently received her divorce papers from her husband, whom she was married to in secrecy, after her scandalous involvement with the businessman. It was also noted that Dina does not have any brothers or sisters making her excuse for fleeing the country invalid.

Dina's love for dancing started at the age of nine, showing several talents in acting, dancing, and playing music. During the course of her life, she lived in Rome, where her father worked for the Middle East news agency in Rome.

Dancing was not an easy career, and Dina had to battle for her family's approval. Yet, she is now one of the most gifted Egyptian dancers, with a master's degree in philosophy. – Albawaba.com
