Egyptian belly-dancer Dina has her phones off the hook refusing to make any statements to the public regarding her latest decision of taking off the Hijab (Islamic headdress) and returning to her career. The dancer has all her phones off the hook to prohibit anyone from contacting her, but has begun appearing in public places dressed as she normally did before wearing the Hijab.

According to the Arab magazine Laha, one of the grand hotels in Cairo has advertised that Dina will be holding a belly-dance performance along with Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq. Dina had called the hotel and reprimanded the management for posting the advertisement without her final acceptance to their offer.

Despite her taking off of the Hijab, Dina has stressed that she will not begin dancing right away and prefers to remain away from the spotlight. The dancer had recently been going through a sever depression as a result of the pornographic scandal she was allegedly involved in with her ex-husband, Hussam Abu El Futooh.

Despite all the rumors that rose regarding her involvement in the scandal and her decision to walk away from her career and resign in order to focus on worshiping god and put an end to all that is being said and hopefully try to clear her name, Dina realized that she could not last too long away from the world of entertainment and so decided to take off her Hijab.

Dina's completion of the fifth pillar of Islam (Hajj) and wearing the Hijab was apparently just a cover-up for her involvement in the porn scandal with her ex-husband, and to stop people from talking about her and the videotapes that were dispersed all over the Arab world of her containing offensive sexual scenes. The dancer had also announced earlier that she would begin a career in business administration but she realized that it would not be a success since her real talents lay in dancing alone.

Dina did not reveal where her first dancing performance, after her false resignation, would be, but she is hopeful to hold it sometime in the very near future. Before taking off the Hijab, which people knew would not last long, Dina had revealed that she has completely put her previous belly-dancing and acting careers behind and has ventured into the world of commerce, and opened a private office in the Mohandiseen neighborhood of the Egyptian capital city - Cairo. Dina had decided to cut-off all contacts with the entertainment world, and as such, decided to change her phone numbers, making her knew ones only known to a very small circle of friends.

But her plans as a businesswoman did not last for too long as it seems she realized it would not be as rewarding as dancing. The dancer had also attended religion classes held at the homes of former actresses, singers, dancers etc. who had also ended their careers and instead, sought complete dedication to God and the religion of Islam; and was planning to someday hold religion classes at her home.

Dina had returned from Saudi Arabia after performing the Muslim pilgrimage Hajj wearing a Hijab (Headscarf) and announcing an end to her dancing and acting career. The former dancer had also refused to make any comments to the public isolating herself at her home in Muhandiseen-Egypt with her son Ali, who is from her late husband director Sameh Albajouri. –Albawaba.com
