After the major crisis that took place between Egyptian belly dancer and actress Dina and her colleague actress Athar Alhakim while shooting the scenes for the TV drama “Frisca” over Dina’s dresses, the dancer decided to seek a fashion consultant to change her entire wardrobe for the series.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Dian revealed that she sought the fashion specialist in order to stop the disputes with Athar and resume the shooting of the scenes. The argument began when Dina was about to shoot one of the scenes wearing a very revealing dress triggering Athar to begin criticizing her appearance.
Athar stressed that she is not comfortable acting alongside someone dressed in such an inappropriate manner, adding that Dina can not shoot the scene wearing the dress she had on. Dina had refused to change the dress saying that it is essential for the part she is performing. Dina added that there is censorship in Egypt and if they felt her appearance is inappropriate they will omit the scenes.
Athar was not convinced and insisted on her opinion. All attempts from director Magdi Ahmed Ali failed to convince Athar that he was the one to decide if the dress was improper or not. Athar left the scene very angry and all efforts failed to make her change her mind.
The series revolves around three characters that struggle to succeed in life. Costarring with the two actresses are Tawfiq Abdul Hameed, Hassan Abdul Hameed, Nabil Nour Aldin, Ameera Ala’idi.
Having become a trend for Lebanese artists, cosmetic surgery – facelifts, liposuctions, lip augmentations, nose jobs, and other alterations – has apparently spread to reach Egyptian artists as well. Dina, after her brief hiatus, has returned to her fans with, it seems, not only a new dancing suit, but also a new look.
Dina recently had a noticeable nose change, getting as professionals in the field would call it, an "aristocratic" nose: she made her first appearance on a satellite television show soon to be aired.
Dina, it is reminded, made her announcement to return to belly dancing after stopping it, on New Year's Eve. For the first time after the release of the scandalous intimate videos of her with her husband (businessman Husam Abul-Fattoo7) that led her to stop belly dancing, Dina reappeared in a belling dancing suit, and danced for five consecutive hours in more than one hotel, becoming the 'number one' belly dancer to perform on New Year's Eve.
For the first time after her retract from resigning dancing, Dina held unforgettable performances on New Year’s Eve in four different hotels. Each hotel witnessed large crowds of people more than was expected causing the ballrooms to be overcrowded and extra chairs to be brought in. it seemed that people were so anxious to see Dina in action that even bigger crowds were outside hotels wanting to get a small glance of the dancer. –Albawaba.com
