A Cairo court sentenced the editor in chief of the "Al Watan Al Arabi" newspaper, Mu'taz Salah El Din, to a one month jail term for publishing pornographic and insulting photographs of Egyptian belly dancer Dina and her ex-husband Hussam Abo El Fotooh. The dancer had demanded Mu'taz be imprisoned and pay a fine of 2001 Egyptian pounds in compensation for damages caused, the UAE based daily Al Bayan reported.

The newspaper had published on the last page a short time ago scandalous photographs taken from the pornographic videotapes the dancer was involved in. this in turn caused Dina to go into an outrage and demanded the editor in chief of the newspaper be held fully responsible for the posting of such demeaning photographs of her and adding to her humiliation.

Egyptian film producers have begun rushing to the doorstep of the belly dancer with numerous offers to star in films. Dina has so far received over ten different film scenarios, some of which are being filmed at the moment. One of the films she has been offered a role in is the "Tajruba Denmarkieh" (A Dutch Experience) with Egyptian comedian Adel Imam. Imam was offered a role as a dancer in the film who appears three different times throughout the sequence of events.

But Dina had revealed that if she is to return to the acting business she will start in the film "Kawabees" (Nightmares), which is the film she previously worked on before her resignation and had faced many disputes with the Egyptian censorships over.

Dina had recently returned to the world of entertainment after the chaos she caused, starting with her involvement in a pornography scandal and ending with wearing the Hijab (Islamic headdress). Dina had apparently realized that she could not stay away from her career as a belly-dancer for too long and it was proven the in fact no force could keep her away.

Despite the fact that Dina had completed the fifth pillar of Islam (Hajj) and wore the Hijab, it appeared that all that was done just to cover-up for her involvement in the porn scandal with her ex-husband Hussam. The dancer had also announced earlier that she would begin a career in business administration but she realized that it would not be a success since her real talents lay in dancing alone. Dina did not reveal where her first dancing performance, after her false resignation, would be, but she is hopeful to hold it sometime in the very near future.

Before taking off the Hijab, which people knew would not last long, Dina had revealed that she has completely put her previous belly-dancing and acting careers behind and has ventured into the world of commerce. She opened a private office in the Mohandiseen neighborhood of the Egyptian capital city - Cairo. Dina had decided to cut-off all contacts with the entertainment world, and as such, decided to change her phone numbers, making her knew ones only known to a very small circle of friends.

Late last year rumors started surfacing about Dina's involvement in pornographic films, when a number of videotapes were found in ex-husband’s apartment containing obscene and provocative scenes of her. Dina had filed a lawsuit against Hussam for violating her rights while she was married to him and making pornography films of her without her knowledge. Dina had intended to take Hussam to court for the fact that it is against the law for a man to film his wife in such indecent circumstance. – Albawaba.com
