Syrian actress Dima Al Jundi announced that she has withdrawn from the fourth part of the television drama “Sabaya” (Girls), scheduled to be aired during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

According to the internet website MBC.net, Dima said that filming the scenes of the drama overlaps with her only daughter Tia’s school exams. Due to the current unstable conditions in Syria filming of the scenes has been moved to Dubai, and leaving her daughter to travel was impossible, said Dima.

Dima also noted that her husband, who shares the responsibility of raising Tai, is also working long hours after he was recently promoted as head of the Syrian Radio and Television Institute.

Dima said her presence in Syria alongside her daughter is much more important than taking part in a drama.  Dima’s character ‘Lubna’ has been eliminated from the drama, meaning that there will be no replacement for her.

Writer of the drama Nour Sheekly said that all the scenes will be filmed in Dubai, and the characters in the drama have moved their residence from Damascus to Dubai.
