Haifa Wehbe's marriage to Egyptian businessman Ahmad Abu Hashimeh caused the biggest buzz in the Arab entertainment scene that year.
Abu Hashimeh appeared on Tony Khalife's popular show “Asfeen Ya Rayes” (Sorry Mr. President), where the host fired a number of daring questions at him.
In a fiery statement, the businessman attacked the Muslim Brotherhood and insisted that the only reason why he was part of the official delegations in Egypt was for economical reasons.
On his relationship with ex-wife Haifa Wehbe, Ahmad fiercely denied that the Muslim Brotherhood had anything to do with his divorce from the singer. Ahmad assured Tony that his divorce was civilized and that they're both in touch with one another from time to time.
As for the picture that has been circulating on the Internet of him and Haifa in a Turkish gay cafe, he said that the photo is fake and was photoshopped to look this way.
Exclusively and for the first time, Ahmad also revealed more about his relationship with Qatar; he had always been accused of being Qatar's spy in Egypt, and for making his wealth through them.
Abu Hashimeh disclosed that he had met with Qatar's new Prince, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, several weeks ago, but insisted that he met him as a businessman and nothing else.
Ahmad further disclosed that his business partner is from Qatar and belongs to the royal family.
