An Egyptian court has dismissed a lawsuit filed against Lebanese artist Qamar by Egyptian businessman Jamal Marwan, owner of ‘Melody’ satellite channels. The court’s decision came after Qamar appealed the first ruling against her, in which she was found guilty and fined 5,000 Egyptian pounds.
Marwan sued Qamar for allegedly sending him threatening messages on his cellular phone. However, an investigation into the case proved that Qamar was in no way associated with the alleged threatening messages.
A hearing date has been scheduled in December for Qamar’s lawsuit against Marwan, in which she claims Marwan is the biological father of her newborn child. At the hearing the court will take statements from the witnesses and then release a verdict.
