The organizing committee of the Cairo International Film Festival for Children’s Cinema in its 21 round has chosen to honor Egyptian actress Yasmeen Abd Al Aziz and comedian actor Ahmad Hilmi. The festival will be launched on March 23 until March 30 with the participation of 23 countries.
The committee also chose to honor Palestinian director Rasheed Mashharawi in addition to a Korean film maker. The list of names for people to be honored by the festival will be announced in the upcoming few days.
According to the London based Elaph, it is expected that the festival will not be organizing conferences for Egyptian actors that are honored due to the fact that none of the stars wish to make public appearances in the press, especially Yasmeen and Ahmad, who rarely hold interviews with the press.
The festival’s committee has decided to send out invitations to a large number of stars that contributed to different works concerning children.
