Lebanese singer Carol Samaha stated that she loves her freedom and won’t consider giving it up. She says that she won’t let her thoughts go through a ‘filter’, and that is why she has no intention of joining the production company Rotana for now.

Carol asserted that she does not plan on hiring a new business manager; and prefers to run her own business and manage all her work related matters. Despite this, Carol still seeks the assistance of those who are in the music business when she needs to.

According to the London daily Elaph, the Lebanese singer feels that in the short period since she left her old manager she has accomplished so much by seeking the help of people around her. Carol doesn’t deny that both her and her manager had accomplished a lot together when they first started, yet she feels that she’s taking faster steps in rising to fame.

Carol has received an award for best album for the year 2006 through a party that was held by the satellite channel ART. Carol has signed an advertisement contract that improved her fame and stardom. Samaha is preparing to star in her first film. She has also gone into theater where she played the role of Queen Zanoubia in a play that had a Rahbani signature.

Samaha will start filming her new movie “Baher El Nojoom” (Celebrity’s Sea) next month. She also has a television project that will be aired during the holly month of Ramadan. Needless to say that she has many concerts scheduled for this summer between Lebanon, Tunisia and Egypt.

Samaha talks about her new film where she’ll be joining four other famous faces in the music business. The movie “Baher El Nojoom” is being produced and sponsored by the famous cola company “Pepsi”. Carol has received a call from Pepsi and was asked in her contract to be part of a project that will hold other famous singer. Carol feels proud to work with the other singers from her generation. She adds that working with Wael Kfoury will be a pleasure and the same goes for Haifa Wahbi, who will also be starring in the new film.

Carol doesn’t mind being criticized by others, yet that doesn’t mean she doesn’t care if someone badly criticizes her on the contrary. Carol feels nervous when people misunderstand her yet she always tries to improve herself.

Carol emphasizes that she isn’t copying any western singer or dancer. She feels that every song she does has it’s own unique style.

Carol won’t give up her freedom and get married just to have kids. She is afraid to give her trust to anyone, because no matter how smart she is she won’t be able to tell if the person she’s giving her heart to is being honest with her or not. She also adds that she isn’t crazy about the idea of getting married because she has proved herself that she could be successful in her career.

However; if she ever thinks of getting married she will only do so for the guy not for having kids of her own.
