ALBAWABA - Turkish actor Burak Özçivit is the talk of Arabic social media after news circulated that he's starring in a movie that is a joint production between Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
According to Turkish local media through MSN, the filming of "Mahmoul Makful" will start in Sept. 2024, with production taking place in both Turkey's Istanbul and Saudi Arabia's Riyadh.
Burak Özçivit will star next to Saudi actresses Khairiya Abu Laban, Narmin Mohsen, and Engy Wajdan. Moreover, Turkish star Hazal Filiz Küçükköse will also be joining the cast as "Zainab."

Both Filiz and Özçivit starred in the famous Turkish drama 'Blind Love' so they are no strangers to being on set together.
The story of "Mahmoul Makful" follows the story of three Saudi women who are fans of Turkish drama, who decide to go on a trip to Istanbul to meet their favorite star.
Things go south when they find themselves involved in the kidnapping of the star turning their lives into a Turkish drama. Karim Abu Zeid will be directing the movie with Nuha Al-Saadi, and Wissam Qattan tasked with writing.
The movie marks a new step into Saudi cinema and looks like it will cohesively blend both cultures together.
