Lebanese singer Assi Hilani recently held a spectacular performance in Egypt at the Cairo Opera House, in which proceeds went directly to the Village of Hope Association for single mothers.
The opening ceremony for the big event was hosted by prominent Egyptian actress Laila Elwi, who expressed the importance of such concerts and the lives they change.
Assi revealed that his contract with the music production company Rotana has ended a while ago and until this moment the contract has not been renewed.
The singer noted that he and the company are holding extensive negotiations in complete secrecy to try and reach a mutual stand.
The singer’s contract with Rotana ended with the release of his latest album, “Izgheereh El Dinia” (It is a Small World), that has enjoyed tremendous success.
The video for “Habibi Ya Nasini” aired exclusively on Rotana’s satellite music channel.
With regards to the album Assi is currently preparing, he revealed that it may not be under the production of Rotana if by the time it is ready he had not renewed his contract.
Hilani has completed recording almost 20 new songs, and will be choosing the most appropriate ones to include in his album. The singer will finalize the album after the holy month of Ramadan, and the release date is scheduled during the beginning of the New Years.
