Last week at the Media Production City in Egypt, the Egyptian actor Ashraf Abed Al Baqi started filming the first scenes of his television drama series “Abu Dihkah Jnan” (The One with a Crazy Laugh).
According to the London daily Elaph, Ashraf plays the role of the late Egyptian comedian Ismail Yasin.
The filming at the Production City will last three weeks. A number of masks have been prepared for Ashraf to wear, especially of Ismail Yasin when he was an old man.
The new series is written by Ahmad Al Abyari and directed by Muhammad Abed Al Aziz. The series also stars Salah Abdullah, Imad Rashad and from Lebanon Carmen Lobes.
Ashraf is also shooting his new film “Bobos” with the famous Egyptian comedian Adel Imam.
