Syrian songstress Asala has been forced to cancel a trip on board a Syrian airliner to Damascus because her husband, a Syrian businessman, was denied permission to travel.

According to the Qatari Al Raia newspaper, Asala had headed towards Cairo airport, accompanied by her husband, Mohammad Ayman El Dahabi, in order to return to Damascus. During the final procedures before boarding their plane, the duo were surprised when security men told El Dahabi that he could not travel because his name was on a list of those who are not allowed to leave the country.

Loyal songstress, Asala decided to stand by her man and stay in Cairo with her husband.

Meanwhile, the incident showed that some event organizers had filed various lawsuits against Asala’s husband, charging that the businessman extorted money and did not stick to signed contracts. The lawsuits also stated that El Dahabi had signed checks without accounts.

The case is still pending in the courts. – Albawaba.com.
