Yemeni singer Arwa just finished recording the opening song for the television drama series “Jidar Al Qalb” (Heart Fence).

The series was created by Ahmad Abed Al Rahman and is directed by Ahmad Saqer. The series stars Samira Ahmad, Samir Sabri, Mustafa Fahmi, Ahmad Maher and Raja Al Jidawi.

The opening song is written by Baha Al Deen Muhammad, composed by Ziad Al Taweel and is distributed by Adel Haqi. Arwa recorded the song as a favor to her friend Egyptian actor Samira Ahmad, and will not be paid for it.

Arwa’s Egyptian song “Mkhabi Alaya” (Hiding From Me) has been a success, and is being aired exclusively on the music channel ‘Melody.’

According to the London daily Elaph, Arwa may film a video clip for her song “Al Qisah Bit’ol” (The Story Says), in the Lebanese dialect. The song was written by Ahmad Madi, and composed and distributed by Jan Marry Richy.  She has yet to decide on a director for the new clip.

Arwa is working on a new single in the Khaliji (Gulf) dialect, called “Youm Wahed” (One Day). The lyrics were written by Saudi prince Faisal Bin Khaled Bin Sultan, composed by Muhammad Bodlih and distributed by Khaled Iz and Hani Farahat.

Arwa is meeting with various composers to choose the songs for her fifth album.  The previous four albums are “Rajak Waqtak” (Your Time Brought You Back), “Arwa 2000,” “Aha Ayami” (My Best Days) and “Inta Arefni” (You Know Me).
